SHOWER

Entering the shower room
a steep and narrow place,
taking my clothes off
turning on the falls
let the cold water flow.

Feel the cold water
from the tiny drops that bounds back
falling into my knees.

Afraid.
Afraid of stepping forward;
to feel and to suffer a hypothermia.
Afraid of stepping backward;
to experience the shame of being tease
of being coward
Afraid of stepping sidewards;
to lean onto the bricks on the wall,
feel the world
where I chose to be in.

I am afraid,
Am I afraid?
Afraid I am

Sat down, hugging my knees
letting a hot water
run into my cheeks.
